◄SERVING SIZE

Oomite is concentrated and naturally packed with umami, so a little goes a long way. As one chef put it, “Use it like gold dust!”

Our suggested serving size is 5g, which is enough for two buttered toasts. Each Oomite Hospo Pail is 900g or 180 x 5g serves. If serving in a ramekin, you may want to allow for 10g so it looks more generous.

◄HOW DOES IT COME?

In a piping bag that fits snugly in a tub. While this might seem random we have actually done this for a few reasons! As Oomite contains no thickeners or stabilizers, it is quite a labour intensive mite to make. This method of packaging has proven the most effective at reducing any food wastage whilst maintaining the best texture. And, the piping bag makes it easier for you to use too!

◄WHAT'S THE SHELF LIFE?

Oomite has a 12-month shelf life from when it’s made. It needs to be stored in a cool, dark place before opening. And once opened, it needs to be refrigerated.
